I WORKED IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK AS A DEPUTY CITY CLERK THE LAST 12 YEARS.
SO I'M SURE I'VE SEEN DARE AROUND AT ONE OF THE SEMINARS FOR THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL CLERKS.
SO REALLY FAMILIAR WITH CITY GOVERNMENT.

UM, IT'S BEEN AN INCREDIBLE HONOR TO SERVE THE CITIZENS AND MEET SO MANY MORE AND WE'VE GROWN SO MUCH.

LAND ARE NOT JUST FOR YOUR CANDID HUMOR, WHICH PROVIDED MUCH NEEDED RELIEF DURING A CRIPPLING PANDEMIC, BUT ALSO FOR LEAVING YOUR MARK WITH YOUR PASSION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, YOU'VE HELPED LANDER CREATE HUNDREDS OF PRIMARY NEW JOBS, PLANTED SEEDS FOR VIBRANT BUSINESS CULTURE IN OLD TOWN LIFTED UP SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS THROUGH YOUR SUPPORT OF MANY GRANTS AND REIMBURSEMENTS, HELP LOWER OUR PROPERTY TAX RATE EVERY YEAR, WHILE IN OFFICE AND WITNESSED THE START OF LANDERS TWO LARGEST EVER MIXED USE DEVELOPMENTS.

THE, UM, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE PROGRAM THERE IN TULSA, JESSICA JACKSON SAY, I HAVE A QUOTE FROM HER THROUGH LISTENING TO RESIDENTS, THOUSANDS OF VOLUNTEER HOURS AND QUITE A BIT OF ELBOW GREASE. AND OF COURSE THE PROVEN MAIN STREET APPROACH, KENDALL WHITTIER IS NOW A FUNKY LITTLE PLACE FOR TULSA TO GATHER WITH OTHER CREATIVES AND TO FEEL A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESSES. NOW THEY, AFTER $158 MILLION IN SEVEN YEARS, THE MA FROM THE MAIN STREET PROGRAM, THEY NOW HAVE A HUNDRED PERCENT OCCUPANCY. THEY HAVE GALLERIES, BREWERIES RESTAURANTS AND MA UH, NON-MAINSTREAM RETAIL. IF HE COULD GO TO THE NEXT ONE, MIKE, OKAY, THIS IS WHAT LEANDER, THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO ON THAT LIST OF THINGS THAT WE NEED TO DO TO GET THIS MONEY. SO WE'RE EXCITED TO SHARE THAT WITH YOU IN MORE DETAIL, THERE ARE, UH, COURSES IS AN EXCITING TIME, AND WE'RE GLAD THAT WE'RE SORT OF ABLE TO GET BACK IN SOME FORM OR FASHION AND ALSO BE ABLE TO USE LAKEWOOD PARK. SO THAT'S GOING TO BE REALLY INCREDIBLE, BUT THERE'S ALWAYS A, BUT YOU KNOW, THERE ARE CHALLENGES. HOWEVER, OUR TEAM HAS DONE AN INCREDIBLE JOB OF LOOKING AT EVERY ANGLE, UM, AND LOOKING AT IT FROM HOW WE CAN SAFELY AND MANEUVER PEOPLE IN AND AROUND THE SITE, GETTING THEM TO THE SITE AND OUT OF THE SITE. SO THE SITE PLAN, UH, WE HIT ON THIS A LITTLE BIT LAST TIME, BUT THIS ONE IS JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE LOCKED IN. WE'VE GOT, WE'RE ASKING THAT WE, UM, CAN CLOSE THE PARK, UM, ON SATURDAY, JULY 3RD, UM, THROUGH THE FOURTH TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAN GET EVERYTHING IN THERE AND SET UP. UM, THE KAYAK USE LAST TIME THAT I HAD SPOKEN WITH YOU GUYS, WE SAID THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO SHUT DOWN THE KAYAK USAGE AT TWO O'CLOCK. UM, BUT THIS TIME IT LOOKS LIKE THAT AFTER TALKING WITH PYROTECHNICAL, WHO DOES OUR FIREWORKS SHOW THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY KEEP THE, UM, KAYAK LAUNCH OPEN FOR MUCH LONGER UNTIL ABOUT EIGHT O'CLOCK. AND THEN WE'D HAVE TO ONLY CLOSE IT FROM EIGHT TO ABOUT 10 15, JUST TO WHERE THAT THEY'RE NOT WITHIN THE FIREWORKS ZONE, SO PEOPLE CAN LAUNCH THEIR KAYAKS AND THEN THEY CAN GO PARK IT IN THE WATER AND WATCH THE SHOW FROM THE WATER. IF THEY'D LIKE TO, UH, THERE JUST HAVE TO STAY OUTSIDE OF IT, OF OUR LITTLE SAFETY RING THERE, UM, WALK IN AND RIDESHARE CHECK-IN AND COOLER CHECKS WOULD BE AT THREE LOCATIONS.
