PROBABLY HEARING, UH, AGAIN, WE'RE GOING TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS CASE 21 V AS IN VICTOR, A AS IN ADAM 0 0 2, TO REQUEST A VARIANCE TO THE SCIENT ORDINANCE, SECTION 3.0 8.01 TO TWO E TO INCREASE THE HEIGHT AND REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT FOR A MASONARY SURROUND REQUIRED FOR THE MONUMENT SIGN ON ONE PARCEL OF LAND, APPROXIMATELY 2.1 ACRES IN SIZE, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY WILSON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT PARCEL R 0 3 6 4 1 8 AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOT EIGHT BLOCK F AS IN FRANK OF THE ANDREW HEIGHTS, SECTION ONE, SUBDIVISION WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
UM, WE'RE GOING TO BE DISCUSSING CONSIDERATION REGARDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS.
I'M ROBIN GRIFFIN WITH THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND I'M GOING TO BE PRESENTING THE CASE THIS EVENING.
UM, THIS IS A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A VARIANCE TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE.
UM, AS YOU CAN SEE ON THIS EXHIBIT ON THE LEFT-HAND SIDE, THIS IS THE EXISTING CHICKEN EXPRESS SIGN.
UM, THE APPLICANT HAS MOVED INTO THIS BUILDING AND IT'S TURNED INTO, WALKS IT TO YOU AND THEY'RE AMENDING THE SIGN.
UM, YOU CAN SEE AT THE TOP, THEY'RE ADDING, UM, THIS, THIS PIECE OF SIGNAGE AND IT WILL INCREASE THE BUILDING HEIGHTS AS WELL AS NOT INCLUDE A MASONRY SURROUND.
SO OUR ORDINANCE REQUIRES A PIECE OF MASONRY THAT WRAPS AROUND THE SIGN CABINET IN HIS PROPOSAL WOULD NOT INCLUDE THAT PIECE.
UM, WE ARE ACTIVELY IN THE PROCESS OF AMENDING OUR SIGN ORDINANCE, UM, AND THESE TWO PROVISIONS WOULD BE CONSISTENT WITH THE PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE.
WE'RE JUST WORKING THROUGH A LOT OF CHANGES RIGHT NOW.
SO THIS ONE'S KIND OF CAUGHT IN THE PROCESS.
SO HE'S MOVING FORWARD WITH THE VARIOUS REQUEST SO WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH THE SIGN.

AND THEN THAT'S KIND OF WHEN WE RAN INTO SOME OF THE VARIABLES THAT WE WEREN'T EXPECTING AT THE TIME.
