[3. Director’s report to the Planning & Zoning Commission on actions taken by the City Council at the July 21, 2022, meeting]

WE'LL HAVE THE DIRECTORS REPORT.

GOOD EVENING.

I'M REPORTING ON ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY COUNCIL DURING THEIR JULY 21ST MEETING.

UM, THEY REVIEWED SEVERAL CASES THAT WERE FORWARDED FROM THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.

UM, THE FIRST ONE IS THE AMENDMENT TO THE TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN.

THIS WAS CHANGING CR 2 67 FROM AN ARTERIAL CLASS ROADWAY TO A COLLECTOR.

THEY DID APPROVE THAT REQUEST WITH THE FIVE TO ONE VOTE.

UM, THEY ALSO REVIEWED THE BARKSDALE CONCEPT PLAN OFF OF JOURNEY PARKWAY AND THEY APPROVED THAT REQUEST AND THEY REVIEWED THE LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS AND APPROVED IT AS WELL.

THAT ONE WILL HAVE THE SECOND READING DURING THE AUGUST 4TH MEETING.

UM, THEY COMPLETED THE SECOND READING OF THE ORDINANCE FOR THE 500 HERITAGE GROVE ROAD PUD.

UM, WITH THE SECOND READING, THEY DID MAKE SOME CHANGES TO THE ITEM WE HAD.

UH, SOME PEOPLE COME FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD TO THE NORTH AND THEY REQUESTED A SIMILAR BUFFER, UM, AS WELL AS A BUILDING HEIGHT SETBACK.

SO THAT WAS APPROVED.

AND THE LAST CASE WAS THE SAN GABRIEL PARKWAY TREE REMOVAL PLAN, AND THEY APPROVED THAT AND THAT'S IT FROM OUR REPORT.

UM, AND THE REASON I WANTED TO SPEAK TO THE COMMISSION IS JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, WE HAVE TRIED TO COORDINATE WITH THE DEVELOPERS ON THIS PLAN, AND WE DO STILL HAVE SOME CONCERNS ABOUT IT SPECIFICALLY AS IT RELATES TO DRAINAGE.

AND IF YOU, UH, IF YOU WOULD LOOK AT THE LAST SLIDE IN WHAT THEY SUBMITTED OR THE LAST PAGE OF WHAT THEY SUBMITTED, UH, YOU'LL SEE THERE'S WATER FLOWING ONTO OUR PROPERTY FROM THE NORTH, WHICH IS ACROSS HERITAGE GROVE ROAD AND THERE'S WATER FLOWING ONTO OUR PROPERTY FROM THE WEST, WHICH IS WHERE THE, UH,

THE GOLD BUREAU BUILDING IS.

UM, AS CURRENTLY DRAWN THAT WATER FLOWS THROUGH KIND OF THE CENTER OF OUR PROPERTY AND THEN WHERE IT EXITS OUR PROPERTY IS ABOUT, I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE 300 FEET FURTHER EAST THAN WHERE THE NATURAL GRADE IS.
