ALL RIGHT. THE TIME IS NOW 6:00 PM. IN THIS MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF OLEANDER IS NOW CALLED TO ORDER. LET THE RECORD SHOW THAT ALL COMMISSIONERS ARE PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE COMMISSIONER MEHAN. AND WITH

THAT, WE'LL MOVE ON TO THE DIRECTOR'S REPORT. GOOD EVENING. I'M REPORTING ON ITEMS THAT WERE FORWARDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL BY THE COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL. I'M REPORTING ON TWO MEETINGS. SINCE WE DIDN'T HAVE AN AGENDA LAST TIME. ON JUNE 5TH. THE COUNCIL DID APPROVE THE ZONING CHANGE FOR THE PROPERTY ON CRYSTAL FALLS PARKWAY. THEY ALSO APPROVED THE VFW POST, MINOR PUD AND THE PARADOX SMOKE SHOP SPECIAL USE PERMIT. THEY DID INCLUDE THE CONDITIONS ABOUT THE SMOKE SHOP REMAINING THE SAME LIKE WHEN IT COMES TO SIGNAGE AND EXTERIOR PAINT, AND THEY APPROVED THE ANNEXATION OF THE BARKSDALE PHASE THREE PROPERTY THAT WILL HAVE A FINAL READING AT THE JULY 1ST MEETING. AND THE COMP PLAN WAS APPROVED FOR BARKSDALE AS WELL AS THE ZONING.

THOSE WILL ALSO BE ON THE JULY 1ST MEETING AGENDA AND MICRO TRENCHING THAT THAT ITEM HAS BEEN POSTPONED. SO THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE JULY 1ST MEETING. BUT WE'RE WORKING WITH GOOGLE FIBER AND AT&T ON SOME ADDED REGULATIONS FOR STREETS WITHOUT CURBS, SO WE HOPE TO HAVE SOME UPDATES ON THAT SOON. SO THE NEXT PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A REVIEW OF THE CIP BUDGET DURING THE MEETING. IT'S GOING TO BE FIRST A TRAINING SESSION FOR THE COMMISSION, SINCE WE HAVEN'T DONE THAT WITH THE COMMISSION BEFORE, AND THEN THE MEETING AFTER THAT IS GOING TO BE THE ACTUAL REVIEW OF THE CIP. SO THEY'D BE REALLY GREAT IF EVERYBODY WAS HERE. SO Y'ALL CAN LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT THE EXPECTATION IS FROM THE COMMISSION AND WHAT YOUR JOB IS AS PART OF THAT REVIEW. GREAT. ACTUALLY, THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT. I'VE BASICALLY PUT ALL THE INFORMATION THAT I NEED IN TO GET A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR TO MAKE IT INTO A GAME ROOM, BE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, MORE BUDGET FOR THE CITY, MORE TAX REVENUE FOR THE CITY, AND BRING MORE PEOPLE IN THE AREA AND KEEP THEM IN THE AREA FOR LONGER. NOW THE ONLY ISSUE I'M HAVING, IT'S BEEN SIX WEEKS AND I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF ANYBODY IN THE DEPARTMENT. I'VE HAD ONE LADY CITY HANSON WISHED LIKE HELP ME OUT IMMENSELY AND WORKED GREAT. BUT AFTER THAT POINT, NOBODY IN THERE, NO REVIEWER, NOBODY IN THE OFFICES. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY PHONE CALLS BACK AND I'VE BEEN PROMISED PHONE CALLS BACK. SO THE REASON I'M GOING IN FRONT OF THE COUNCIL IS BECAUSE I LITERALLY HAVE TO GO IN FRONT OF THE COUNCIL, AND I, YOU GUYS ALLOW ME TO COME AND TALK TO ME ABOUT THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT. I HAVE BUSINESS OWNERS THAT ARE IN LEANDER THAT ARE WILLING TO COME AND SPEAK FOR US, THE OWNERS OF CULVERS THAT JUST JUST OPENED IS REAL CLOSE FRIENDS WITH ME.

THEY'RE THEY'RE WILLING TO SHOW UP. GEORGE GENTILE, ANDREA AND AUSTIN TANNER ARE GOING TO BE SHOWING UP. ACE HARDWARE, MAGGIE MAY'S THE BEER GARDEN. WE'RE $55,000 INTO, YOU KNOW, HAVING THE BUILDING IN PAID FOR THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT AND STILL CAN'T GET AN ANSWER. SO IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING. YOU KNOW, THE BUSINESS IS KNOWN KNOWN TO KNOWN TO GROW QUICK. AND IF YOU AS LONG AS WE KEEP EVERYTHING SAFE AND IN THE COMMUNITY, YOU KNOW, I DON'T SEE ANY ISSUES. Conduct a Public Hearing and consider action regarding Zoning Case Z-24-0114 to amend the Leander Springs Planned Unit Development with base zoning districts of MF-2-A (Multi-Family) and GC-3-A (General Commercial) to update the language as it relates to phasing and timing of the development, reduce the total number of apartments, and modify the phasing requirements on two (2) parcels of land approximately 77.90 acres ± in size, more particularly described by Williamson Central Appraisal District Parcels R403524 and R051592; and generally located southwest of the intersection of 183A Toll Road and RM 2243, Leander, Williamson County, Texas.  POSTPONED]
