I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE DISCUSSIONS RIGHT NOW ABOUT LIMITING THE AMOUNT THAT CAN BE COLLECTED IN IN PROPERTY TAX, ESPECIALLY AT A TIME WHEN WE ARE LOOKING AT FEMA FUNDING LESS ON THE DISASTERS AND WE ARE NOT DOING HORRIBLE IN THIS, BUT OUR NEIGHBORS ARE AND IT COULD BE US NEXT TIME. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE US TAKE A STRONG STANCE ON THE SECONDARY DISASTER THAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE'RE HANDCUFFED ON ON FURTHER ON WHAT WE CAN COLLECT TO MAKE UP FOR WHAT WE'RE NOT ABLE TO GET REIMBURSED ANYMORE. AND SO THAT'S BEEN A BIG TALKING POINT THAT A LOT OF CITIES AND MYSELF HAVE BEEN REITERATING AT THE CAPITOL TO OUR LEGISLATORS, BECAUSE JUST FOR THE PUBLIC, IT'S NOT NECESSARILY WE'RE RAISING OUR TAXES, IT'S JUST THE WAY THE STATE CALCULATES THINGS IS BIZARRE, RIGHT? AND WHAT IS GOING TO QUANTIFY WHAT IS GOING TO QUALIFY AS THESE FLOOD PRONE AREAS AND HOW ARE THEY GOING TO PRIORITIZE THAT?
