  • Proclamation recognizing October as National Planning Month.
  • Old Town Master Plan Silver Award — The City of Leander has received the Silver Award in Urban Design for the Old Town Master Plan. This award honors efforts to create a sense of place, whether a street, public space, neighborhood, or campus effort. The Old Town Master Plan was selected by the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association awards committee for its originality and compatibility with the Comprehensive Plan along with the effective engagement tools used to collaborate between leadership, public interests, and private development. 
  • Planning Excellence Award — The City of Leander has received a Planning Excellence Award for 2025. This award is issued by the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association and recognizes planning excellence in municipalities throughout the State. The City of Leander is recognized for the level of training of Planning Commissioners and professional qualifications of the planning staff, breadth and currency of master plan components and completion of other planning-related projects.

THESE BONDS WERE CARRIED 25 YEAR MEMORIZATION, WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE PAST ISSUANCE. THE ANTICIPATED INTEREST RATE IS 3.79%. WE ESTIMATE THE ANNUAL DEBT SERVICE TO BE APPROXIMATELY 2.4 MILLION, WHICH IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN OUR FY 26 UTILITY FUND BUDGET.
