THIS IS USUALLY DRIVEN BY DEVELOPMENTS, VOLUME, REGIONAL GROWTH, JUST AND JUST GENERAL CHANGING TRAFFIC PATTERNS. WHAT I'M GOING OVER TONIGHT IS PRIMARILY HOW WE DO CITY FUNDED SIGNALS. THERE ARE A LOT OF DEVELOPER SIGNALS, AND I THINK THERE'S MAYBE SOME NOT CONFUSION. BUT YOU KNOW, WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE SIGNAL BY H-E-B AND IT'S LIKE, WELL, I NEED ONE HERE. WELL THAT'S THAT WAS PAID FOR AND DONE BY THE DEVELOPMENT. SO. RIGHT. SO CURRENTLY IN OUR CITY LIMITS WE HAVE 36 TRAFFIC SIGNALS, 31 ARE MAINTAINED BY US FOR BY THE CTR MAY ALONG THE TOLL ROAD. SO THIS IS AN INCREASE OF 18 SIGNALS SINCE 2020. SO WE'VE PUT IN I SAY PUT IN A BUNCH. BUT 11 OF THOSE WERE TXDOT SIGNALS THAT WE TOOK OVER ALONG 183 IN 2021. SO WHEN THE CITY REACHED A POPULATION OF 50,000, THOSE SIGNALS CAME OVER TO US. THE FOUR SIGNALS, THOSE, LIKE I SAID, ARE OPERATED BY CPTM, BUT WE WORK CLOSELY WITH THEM. SO IF WE DO RECEIVE ANY KIND OF FEEDBACK OR CONCERNS FROM CITIZENS, WE CAN REACH OUT WITH THEM, REACH OUT TO CTMA. WE HAVE A REALLY GOOD RELATIONSHIP. WE ACTUALLY USE THE SAME CONSULTANT AS WELL. AT THAT POINT, WE DETERMINE IF IT KIND OF IDENTIFIES THAT, HEY, WE NEED TO MOVE TO A WARRANT STUDY. SO THIS IS A THIRD PARTY ENGINEER THAT FOLLOWS THE STRICT MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES, OR MUTCD. I MENTIONED SCHOOLS, BUT ALSO WE LOOK AT ACTIVITY CENTERS AND KIND OF THE AGAIN, THE GENERATION OF PEOPLE, POTENTIALLY EMERGENCY VEHICLES, THOSE KIND OF DRIVING THINGS. AND THEN WE LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF WARRANTS. IS IT ONE WARRANT, IS IT FIVE WARRANTS.
